Dr. Steve Franklin is an author, educator, entrepreneur, businessman and lecturer. He co-authored two major business textbooks that were adopted in hundreds of colleges and universities across America, educating thousands of students about principals of business and leadership success. He has published over 40 articles in periodicals ranging from the Academy of Management Journal, Managerial Planning, Association Management , Journal of Small Business Management and other business periodicals. His 2013 book Celebrate 100: Centenarian Secrets to Success in Business and Life ascended to Amazon’s #6 Business Book and #9 Biography and History Book following several national television appearances. Franklin’s research has appeared in dozens of major newspapers including The Christian
Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, Dallas Morning News, Atlanta Journal
Constitution, Chicago Tribune and many more.

Dr. Franklin was a tenured professor and Associate Dean of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He received the number one teaching evaluation by students three times, has consulted with and delivered hundreds of keynote speeches to major organizations throughout North America, Europe, South Africa and Dubai, including Coca Cola, Federal Express, General Electric, AT&T, ChickfilA, Johnson and Johnson, IBM, Northwestern Mutual, plus many more. While at Emory he co-founded the Emory Center for Healthcare Leadership and now serves on the Board of Regents at Oxford University, Harris Manchester College, and is Chairman of the Governing Board for The American University in Dubai. Franklin attended the University of Florida, earned a Bachelors degree in Theology from Abilene Christian University, M.B.A. from Georgia State University, M.A. in Management and Ph.D. in Management and Marketing from the University of Oklahoma.

In 1984 Franklin established Global Access Learning, Inc., a custom developer of executive education programs for public and private organizations including those mentioned above plus Kaiser Permanente, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, United States Air Force, Young Presidents Organization, World Presidents Organization, BellSouth, Lockheed-Martin, Kodak, Electronic Realty Associates and others. GAL still operates with independent consultants serving the healthcare and non-profit sectors. He was a featured commentator for the Gannett Broadcasting series “Million Dollar Dreams” that was viewed by millions of people across America. Franklin was Executive Vice President of Atlanta based Financial Service Corporation, and was instrumental in growing that firm into the second largest independent broker-dealer in America and selling it to MONY(Mutual of New York). He was President of EduTrek International, holding company for American Intercontinental University. He and the Chairman/CEO took Edutrek public and expanded its undergraduate and graduate Business and IT offerings with campus expansions in Atlanta, London, Dubai, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Fort Lauderdale. Franklin was President of Wells Advisory Services and Chief of New Business Development for Wells Real Estate Funds. In those roles he created Wells University which educated over 10,000 financial advisors. Under his sales leadership Wells grew from approximately $200 million to more than $11 Billion of assets under management. Two of the real estate investment trusts(REITs) for which he and his team raised over $10 Billion are now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

Steve serves on the staff of North Point Ministries where he is experimenting and developing strategies to “create a culture of even greater generosity”among its 6 Atlanta area campuses and partner churches throughout the U.S. and several countries. He has been married to college sweetheart Elaine 49 years, has two adult children and 4 wonderful grandchildren.
